Tom has taught his highly acclaimed series of writings workshops since 1991, at Volcano Art Center, the University of Hawaiʻi at Hilo, and other venues on Hawaiʻi, Maui, and Lanaʻi, as well as in Canada.
In all of his workshops Tom introduces simple but powerful techniques to overcome barriers that cause writer’s block, self-censorship, and a lack of depth in the work. In Writing on the Wild Side! he uses fun and provocative exercises to tap the writer’s creative right brain and move into deeper levels of expression.
